Winery is the world's largest structured winery directory, review platform, and deals marketplace. Our mission is to connect wine lovers with every winery on earth — from Napa Valley icons to hidden gems in the Ozarks.

Our Data

We build our directory from public, storable data sources: the TTB's Federal Alcohol Administration Act permit registry (US), OpenStreetMap (global, ODbL), and Wikidata (global, CC0). Wineries are mapped to their full geographic hierarchy — from country down to sub-appellation — using official AVA boundary data and EU PDO geodata.

Where a winery lacks sourced photography, we use clearly-marked placeholder images and label the data quality transparently. Our “Available by API” tier identifies data that exists behind paid APIs, so we can expand coverage as budget allows.

First-Party Reviews

Our ratings are built entirely from first-party reviews submitted by real visitors. Third-party ratings from Yelp and Google appear as separate, attributed widgets — never blended into our scores. This ensures every rating on Winery reflects authentic visitor experience.

For Businesses

Winery owners can claim their listing for free, respond to reviews, run targeted ad campaigns, publish deals and offers, and access analytics — all from a self-serve dashboard.
